If you are a Legacy user, your PDF2XL licenses are no longer supported!
A “Legacy License” refers to any version within our discontinued product line. This includes versions 6.5 and earlier of the following programs:
PDF2XL v6.5 and earlier have been discontinued
- PDF2XL Basic
- PDF2XL OCR
- PDF2XL Enterprise
- PDF2XL CLI
And also:
- PDF2Word v1.1
- Split PDF and Merge PDF v1.0
These licenses were discontinued upon the launch of our new product line in 2019. However, we have continued to provide support for these licenses until now.
So, what changed?
The recent changes to our system have rendered Legacy Licenses incompatible with our current activation server. As a result, these licenses can no longer be activated through any means, and we are unable to update account information as the system used to manage Legacy Licenses has become obsolete.
But my license is perpetual/lifetime!
It is important to note that while these licenses were marketed as “perpetual” or “lifetime” licenses, this does not guarantee that the program will continue to function indefinitely. As with any software, regular updates are necessary to maintain compatibility with other systems, such as your operating system. While we strive to release updates to ensure compatibility, we cannot be held responsible if a user chooses not to update their software. That would be unreasonable, as we cannot control when and how other systems (like your Operating System) are updated. We can only update our software to match it.
A perpetual license means that you pay nothing more for your program and can use it for as long as it continues to work for you. It is, literally just a license that is not a subscription.
So what can I do?
Unfortunately, there is no solution for Legacy License holders at this time. If the license is still functional on your computer, you may continue to use it. However, if it becomes deactivated or you need to reinstall or transfer the license, you will find that this is no longer possible. The links for downloading Legacy Licenses have been removed as they can no longer be activated.
